Cisco SPA Phones

This article explains how to configure a Cisco SPA phone for manual provisioning within CCPro Contact Centre.
This is typically used for routing CCPro calls via the desk phone (sometimes referred to as "Nail Up" or "PSTN")
The PBX Module must be installed on the Contact Centre


Setting Up the Auth Username

Go to Administration > Phone Configuration > VoIP > Auth Usernames   

Select Add VOIP Auth Username

Complete the following fields accordingly:


FieldDescription
Auth UsernameAdd to the name of your contact centre the first and last names of the user whose phone this is.
For example, MNSandbox-john.smith
DescriptionEnter the MAC address of the Cisco phone
Usually in Menu > Product Infor > 5 Mac Address
PasswordThis password will be needed when registering the device in the phone's UI

               

Then, click SAVE. You should see this.


Setting Up the Device

Go to Devices

Click Add Device

Complete the following fields accordingly

User NameFirstname.Lastname - should be the same as was used in the Auth Username
DescriptionThe MAC address of the phone
User Association TypeFor most purposes this will be Extension
User/ExtensionHaving selected Extension above, choose the extension of the user this relates to. Leave "Make this the extension's primary device" unchecked
Auth UsernameFrom the dropdown, select the Auth Username created in the previous step
SRTPLeave unchecked
SIP ServerThis field is not to be changed, but copied into the SIP phone portal where you configure where the calls need to be routed to


Then click SAVE. You should see this.


Factory Reset the Cisco Phone

To Factory Reset a Cisco device:

Click on the Menu

  1. Select 14: Factory Reset
  2. Select OK at the Reset Warning, and the device will commence Factory Reset and Initialization.

 


Obtain the Phone’s IP Address

In order to provision a Cisco phone, you will first need to get its IP address in order to access the phone's web interface. 

To do so, click on the Menu Icon, which is shown in the photo. Then you will select “Network” which is typically “9.” The IP address should be the second line, for example: "IP: 10.10.9.88".


Load the Phone’s Admin User Interface

On a computer on the same network as the phone, in your browser now, enter the device’s IP address.

Click on Advanced and then Admin Login

The username is usually “admin” and the default password is “2600”.
 If these do not work, contact the CCPro Support Team.

Provision the Phone

Click on Ext 1
Scroll down to Proxy and Registration and change the following fields


Proxy: The SIP Server value from the device created above, eg custsipproxy-mnsandbox.ccprosolutions.uk


Display Name: The full name of the person whose phone this is, eg John Smith


Password: The password set in the Auth Username creation earlier


AuthID: The Auth Username value created earlier, eg MNSandbox-John.Smith


UserID: The User Name value in the Device created earlier, eg John.Smith


Use Auth ID: Set this to Yes

When all these fields are completed, scroll to the bottom and click Submit All Changes


The phone should reboot, and when it comes back up, it should be provisioned.
