Before You Start
You will need the following:
The exact model of your phone
The MAC address of the phone
The phone’s Admin password
Access to a computer on the same network as the phone
Step 1: Create the Device in the CCPro SmartPBX
Log into https://portal.pbx.ccprosolutions.uk
Go to Devices > Add Device
Select SIP Phone
Select Cisco from the brand list
Pick the correct model from the list
Enter a name for the device, and its MAC address, and click “Create Device”
You will need to assign the device to a user, under Users > Devices
NOTE: Do not assign a user if the phone is to be used for hot desking
Once added, click on the Apps icon at the top of the page
Click on the Advanced Provisioner app
Locate your Cisco phone, click the cog next to it, and select Unlock to unlock provisioning for this device.
Step 2: Factory Reset the Phone
To Factory Reset a Cisco device:
Click on the Menu
- Select 14: Factory Reset
- Select OK at the Reset Warning, and the device will commence Factory Reset and Initialization.
Step 3: Obtain the Phone’s IP Address
In order to provision a Cisco phone, you will first need to get its IP address in order to access the phone's web interface.
To do so, click on the Menu Icon, which is shown in the photo. Then you will select “Network” which is typically “9.” The IP address should be the second line, for example: "IP: 10.10.9.88".
Step 4: Load the Phone’s Admin User Interface
On a computer on the same network as the phone, in your browser now, enter the device’s IP address.
You should see something like this:
Click on Advanced and then Admin Login
The username is usually “admin” and the default password is “2600”.
If these do not work, contact the CCPro Support Team.
Step 6: Edit the Profile Rule URL
Click on Advanced tab and then the Provisioning Tab
Change the Profile Rule field to this:
http://p.sip.vocal-cloud.com:80/$MA.xml
Then click “Submit All Changes”.
You should see this message, and the phone should reboot several times.
